This privacy notice applies to https://bsoong.com, the personal website of Brandon Soong (Bsoong). The site is a portfolio, writing archive, and resume — not a consumer product, marketplace, or advertising network. There are no public user accounts, comments, or payments. If you email Brandon Soong or otherwise send a message, that correspondence is stored in the inbox or host logs long enough to reply and keep a working record. Do not send secrets or special-category data. The site is hosted on Vercel. Production content and the private admin CMS use a Postgres database operated by Neon. Uploaded files such as the resume PDF are stored with Vercel Blob in production. Those processors see standard hosting metadata (IP address, user agent, request path, timestamps) in order to serve the site, keep it secure, and diagnose errors. In production the site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. Those tools are configured without cookie-based tracking for public pages. Admin sessions and draft preview URLs are excluded from analytics so CMS use and unpublished tokens are not sent to the dashboard. The public pages do not use advertising pixels, sell personal information, or build a marketing list from visitors. A theme preference may be stored in the browser with localStorage so the site can honor light or dark mode and the last named palette chosen in each; those values never leave the device via this site’s application code. Agents and crawlers may request Markdown representations of public pages. Those responses contain the same public information as the HTML pages.
